Robert Half Procurement Specialist in Sugarland, Texas

Description

We are in search of a Procurement Specialist to join our operations in Sugarland, TX. The role entails working as a crucial part of our procurement team, offering assistance in our enterprise Purchase-to-Pay system, and handling customer service needs of our purchasing system end-users. As a Procurement Specialist, you will also be involved in invoice reconciliations and other procurement processes. Additionally, you will aid in project support and work closely with the sourcing team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive support to end users of the Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) system, ensuring they understand the procurement process and how to use the system's features

• Handle end-user access and order issues, and resolve any catalog access problems effectively

• Train new users on the basics of the P2P system, ensuring they can order products as required

• Assist in the day-to-day Invoice Reconciliation process, particularly in relation to invoice price variances and issues

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with our preferred vendors to facilitate an efficient invoice reconciliation process

• Foster strong working relationships with internal stakeholders across operations and corporate departments

• Participate in P2P pricing and catalog management continuous business improvement activities to enhance quality controls around data loaded into our P2P system

• Identify areas of end-user risk and engage management early when performance issues may warrant leadership consideration or intervention

• Contribute actively to process improvements throughout the P2P and other procurement processes.

Requirements • Proven experience in procurement or a similar role

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Experience with operations, specifically in invoice processing

• Understanding of quality control and process improvement

• Familiarity with the use of 'About Time' software

• Knowledge of pricing strategies and negotiations

• Demonstrated leadership skills

• Experience in reconciliations and variance analysis

• Ability to effectively manage relationships with vendors and stakeholders

• Proficiency in using Oracle for procurement processes

• Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Knowledge and understanding of supply chain management and logistics

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues timely and effectively

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

• Experienced in deskside support

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
