Robert Half Contracts Manager in Summit, New Jersey

Description We are inviting applications for the role of a Contracts Manager based in Summit, New Jersey. The successful candidate will be integral in managing, modifying, and reviewing contracts for our manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in reducing company risk, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and maintaining contract records.

Responsibilities include:

• Reading and reviewing terms and conditions of sales submitted by customers.

• Modifying, proposing changes, and negotiating terms to reduce company risk.

• Ensuring all terms and conditions are explicit and interpreted correctly in line with laws and regulations.

• Reviewing and modifying Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).

• Ensuring the accuracy of company-provided information and reducing risk in the scope of work.

• Placing limitations on contract duration, handling requirements, markings, and protections against infringement.

• Reviewing and revising terms and conditions for the sale of equipment, purchase of goods from vendors, parts, and service.

• Mentoring Sales and other departments about the importance of documentation when disputes arise.

• Composing correspondence for management to vendors or customers which clearly communicate the Company’s position based on the contract provisions.

• Developing special agreements on behalf of top management for special business arrangements such as special projects, exclusivity arrangements, joint ventures etc. and maintaining contract records. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working in a similar role as a Contracts Manager

• Proficient in Contract Management and Contract Negotiation

• Solid understanding and application of the Uniform Commercial Code

• Ability to interpret and analyze contract terms and conditions

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively as part of a team

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards

• Experience in a leadership role is advantageous

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple contracts at once

• Must be able to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
