Robert Half Construction-Related Customer Service Rep & Sales Assoc in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin
Construction-related company in Sun Prairie is looking for a Customer Service Representative and Sales Associate to join its growing team! This role is immediately full-time (not contract)! It is 40 hours per week, with a couple hours of overtime anticipated each week. You will work Monday-Friday, but not on weekends!
In this role, you will:
Provide excellent customer service and provide consultation to homeowners wanting assistance with doors, windows and decking
Receive materials and coordinate returns as necessary
Help with invoices, packing slips, shipping, and receiving orders
Assist with sales of building materials, windows, doors, and mill work to contractors and home owners
Provide general administrative/clerical work, such as creating and processing inventory transfers and purchase orders, data entry, scanning, filing…etc.
Work with Yardmen, Dispatch, or Store Manager to keep up with the flow of the day and help customers load orders into their vehicles
Acknowledge and maintain control over and help walk-in retail customers and business to business customers
Be able to perform general organization and housekeeping of the store
Be able to follow procedures, document them and make them more efficient
Work well independently and in a team environment
Answer the phones in a timely manner and in a friendly, detail oriented voice
Handle special orders and returns, and maintain Inventory

Requirements - Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
Demonstrated experience performing extensive research to resolve complex customer inquiries
Adeptness in Annual Physical Inventory
Wood Shop experience
Customer service experience
Strong familiarity with Commercial Construction Projects
Commercial Construction Projects experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Construction Applications Software
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
success driven attitude and an engaging businesslike approach
Ability to use multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information
Strong customer service and office administrative skills
Ability to exude confidence, knowledge, and empathy when interacting with internal and external partners and clients/customers
Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
Experience with Microsoft Office required
2+ years of past relevant experience in construction or the trades is required
