This permanent Accounting Clerk position is located in the Sunnyvale, California, area. What you get to do every single day

  • Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing

  • Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis

  • Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources

  • Post financial information to journals and ledgers

  • Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes

  • Process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipts, and help with collection of past due balances to support Accounts Receivable

  • Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

  • Resolve discrepancies by examining possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts; generate correction documents as required

    Requirements - Ability to multitask effectively

  • Practical knowledge of general ledger

  • Adeptness in journal entries

  • Experience with Business licenses

  • Demonstrated knowledge of month end closings

  • General familiarity with Credit Card Reconciliation

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Proficiency in Cash Activity

  • Form 1099 experience highly preferred

  • Property Tax Returns experience

  • Bank reconciliations experience

  • Experience with high volume data entry

  • AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

  • 2+ years of accounting experience required

  • Prior knowledge in Spreadsheet and ERP system
