Description
Southern New Jersey client seeks an Accountant with proven experience navigating with financial accounting software. As the Accountant you will be responsible for the following: account/cash reconciliations, processing month end close activities, assisting with the filing of tax returns and payments, maintaining revenue recognition standards, overseeing the general ledger system, assisting with tax compliance, preparing documentation for annual external audit, and assisting the finance team when needed. The ideal candidate for this role should have great problem-solving skills, a flair for numbers, excellent time-management and strong budgeting/forecasting abilities that will ensure revenue generation.
Everyday Responsibilities
· Support daily accounting functions
· Perform tax research
· Account Analysis
· Tax preparation
· Accounts Payable/Receivable
· Build strong client relationships
· Assist with accruals and prepayments
· Develop and implement process improvement initiatives
· Resolve accounting discrepancies
· Ad hoc financial analysis projects as requested
Requirements
The ideal Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
Other requirements for the Accountant role include and are not limited to:
· 3+ years of G/L experience along w/ some cash experience (reconciliation, forecasting)
· Manufacturing/Distribution industry experience a plus
· Solid Excel skills (VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables)
· Dynamics NAV a plus
