Robert Half Tax Manager in Cherry Hill, New Jersey

Description

Robert Half is looking for a Tax Manager to join our client! This Tax Manager will possess expertise in various types of tax returns and financial statements, along with proficiency in Excel and tax software and technology. How you will make an impact

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all tax-related issues within the company.

  • Manage federal and state compliance filings, overseeing the review process with third-party firms.

  • Compute and submit quarterly estimated tax payments when necessary.

  • Assess the feasibility of bringing the annual income tax provision analysis in-house.

  • Record tax-related journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring adherence to US GAAP.

  • Oversee quarterly state sales tax and local property tax submissions across multiple jurisdictions.

  • Facilitate the renewal of state business licenses as mandated.

  • Assess and execute 1042 filings.

  • Investigate tax incentives, including those for investment and research & development activities.

  • Keep abreast of tax regulations at all governmental levels and provide guidance on their business implications.

  • Conduct research and offer advice on complex tax issues and ad-hoc projects.

    Requirements

The ideal Tax Manager candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education. CPA preferred.

Other requirements for the Tax Manager position include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts, US GAAP and applications

  • Strong technical tax knowledge, research capabilities, analytical and qualitative skills, including the ability to conceptualize and think creatively

  • Good verbal and written communications

  • Strong analytical and accounting skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (primarily Excel)
