Robert Half Procurement Manager in Syosset, New York

Description

We are seeking a Procurement Manager in Syosset , New York, United States. This role is integral to our team, focused on managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining quality assurance. You will work in a fast-paced environment, playing a crucial role in maintaining accurate records of purchases and expenses, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery of orders.

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate contracts with vendors to ensure the best terms and conditions

• Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring efficient and effective communication

• Monitor and analyze market trends, staying informed on industry suppliers

• Establish and uphold quality assurance standards, ensuring the quality of purchased products meets company standards

• Keep accurate records of purchases and expenses for audit and budgeting purposes

• Manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking

• Track orders from placement to delivery to ensure timely receipt

• Train end users on placing orders, receiving into inventory, depleting/consuming, and performing cycle counts

• Maintain system integrations between different platforms like Coupa, NetSuite, and Shopify

• Take ownership of all supply vendors, overseeing the entire process from onboarding to payment methods.

Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement management role or similar

• Proficiency in 3M, Coupa, CRM, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions and About Time software

• Knowledge of budget processes and buying processes

• Strong customer service skills

• Experience with invoice processing

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team

• Knowledge of supply chain and procurement procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred)

• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at once

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint

• Proven track record of managing budgets and cost optimization

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
