Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Syracuse, New York
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Syracuse, New York. The role entails meticulous processing of client accounts and credit card transactions, ensuring the timeliness and precision of every transaction within the CPA Firm industry.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the efficient processing of client accounts payable transactions using various financial software.
• Conduct precise entry of vendor bills submitted by clients.
• Execute accurate downloading or entry of client credit card transactions for expenses, ensuring they are properly coded.
• Secure W-9 forms from new vendors before any initial payments are processed.
• Update W-9 forms annually to keep vendor information current and accurate.
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and take appropriate action when necessary.
• Resolve customer inquiries and monitor customer accounts.
• Utilize financial software for invoicing and payment processing.
• Assist in maintaining W9s for 1099 reporting.
• Manage the accounts payable ledger and assist with month-end closings.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks is essential.
• Experience in account reconciliation is necessary.
• Must be skilled in Accounts Payable (AP).
• Familiarity with check runs.
• Proficiency in coding invoices.
• Must be adept at data entry.
• Experience in invoice processing is a plus.
