Description
Chris Preble from the Syracuse Robert Half office is seeking a goal-oriented Assistant Controller for one of his Syracuse for profit clients. As the Assistant Controller, you will help oversee the day to day operations of the accounting function. If you are a self-starter with a proven ability to identify issues and resolve problems, this is the Assistant Controller role for you! Great vacation plan here and really good work life balance.
What you get to do every day
Ensure regular account reconciliation to completion
Create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Extra assignments if necessary
Partake in the preparation of financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Fixed asset accounting duties
Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
Work with external public accounting firm when required
Managing the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Analyze and create Ad Hoc financial reports
Push accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Requirements
Excel Formulas experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Progressive accounting experience
Excellent verbal, written, and social skills
