Robert Half Credit/Collections Supervisor/Manager in TACOMA, Washington

In the role of Credit Manager, you will handle the preparation and consolidation of financial statements, the analysis and reconciliations of accounts, and the analysis of cash flow. You will also establish budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and manage internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates should excel at all levels of analysis. Your responsibilities

  • Manages the accounts receivable cycle including credit recommendations, billing, and payment inquiries

  • Evaluate potential customers’ creditworthiness, maintain detailed records of company loans, approve or reject loan requests from customers, calculate and set loan interest rates

  • Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

  • Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

  • Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

  • Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions

  • Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary


  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred

  • Prepare Tax Returns experience

  • Proficiency in billing

  • Knowledge of Vendor Management

  • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

  • ERP system experience

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Able to manage time well

  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

  • SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience

  • Strong communication and social skills and able to receive criticism well
