Description We are searching for an HR Assistant to join our team in Tacoma, Washington, 98405, United States. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity in the HR industry. The HR Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks, including managing a large filing project, maintaining employee records, and handling HR compliance matters.

Responsibilities:

• Manage large-scale filing projects, which includes sorting files, separating files for current and terminated employees, and alphabetizing files for storage.

• Conduct audits on personnel files, particularly background checks and I-9 forms.

• Provide basic administrative support, including photocopying and scanning documents.

• Utilize HR knowledge to assist with other projects as needed.

• Maintain the confidentiality of all personnel documents and information.

• Use MS Office software for data entry and other tasks.

• Assist with HR policy administration and onboarding procedures.

• Provide support for HR compliance matters.

• Perform clerical duties as required. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role

• Proficiency in clerical duties and filing systems

• Experience handling confidential documents with discretion

• Understanding and experience with HR compliance

• Familiarity with HR policies and their administration

• Proficient in photocopying and scanning documents

• Experience with onboarding processes

• Efficient in data entry tasks

• Knowledge of auditing procedures within the HR department

• Strong skills in Human Resources (HR) Administration.
