Robert Half HYBRID Medical Records Specialist in Tacoma, Washington

Description

One of our Fortune 500 clients is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join their team. As a Medical Records Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to assist with the retrieval of medical records and validation from contracted providers to support project audits.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data validation and provider outreach to ensure accurate and complete medical records.

  • Assist in retrieving medical records from contracted providers for project audits.

  • Review medical records to identify any flagged information or missing data during the audit process.

  • Reach out to healthcare providers to verify flagged information, clarify any unclear details, or request missing information.

  • Communicate with providers via phone or fax to request information verification or updates.

  • Update and maintain accurate records with the corrected information received from providers.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of data validation processes.

  • Adhere to compliance standards and regulations in handling confidential medical records.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare providers and address any inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.

    Requirements

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.

  • Prior experience in healthcare operations, medical record retrieval, or provider outreach is preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately review and analyze medical records.

  • Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation processes.

  • Proficiency in using technology platforms and software for data entry and record management.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to build positive relationships with healthcare providers.
