Robert Half Property Accountant in Tacoma, Washington
Description
We are looking for a Property Accountant with a keen eye for detail to manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets. As a Property Accountant, your role will involve performing financial analysis and reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with state and local rules and regulations.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Preparation and reconciliation of operating expense escalations and year-end adjustments;
Compilation and analysis of financial information for properties;
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for all properties;
Oversee monthly bank reconciliations;
Prepare and detail monthly financial statements for respective properties;
Perform budget variance analysis;
Support external auditing processes;
Assist in developing process improvements for increased operational efficiency;
Prepare annual budgets.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or relevant qualification will be a plus;
Proven experience as a Property Accountant or similar role;
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP);
Proficiency in MS Excel and property management software;
Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and attention to detail;
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
Strong numerical proficiency and the ability to handle multiple properties’ accounts.
