Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is looking for Staff Accountants. These positions are in high demand and frequently become available. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company’s reports and statements. The Staff Accountant also provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts and preparing financial statements.
Prepares financial statements by gathering and analyzing information
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files
Develops and implements accounting procedures
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Provides accounting support
Degree in Accounting preferred but not required
2-5 years experience as a Staff Accountant
Knowledge of GAAP
Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements
Knowledge of AR and AP
Knowledge of Payroll and Payroll systems
Software’s: MS Office Suite required (Intermediate and above familiarity with MS Excel)
