Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. This position will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Those with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets are preferred. Great role for a recent graduate with their Business degree - great growth potential! What you get to do every single day
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable
Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules
Compose journal entries and conduct the month end close with minimal supervision
Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation
Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Assist in implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations
The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $70,000. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with 5% match and 10 days of paid vacation, 5 days of paid sick leave and 11 paid holidays per calendar year.
Requirements - Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
Account reconciliation experience preferred
Proven knowledge of Bank Account Reconciliation
General familiarity with Sales Tax
Well-founded grasp of Fixed Asset Accounting
Comprehensive knowledge of general ledger
Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience highly desired
Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR)
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
Proficient in ERP systems
Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
