Robert Half Payroll Manager in Tampa, Florida
Description
We are offering a fully remote long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Manager / Consultant with an organization based in Southwest Florida. This role involves managing payroll operations across multiple states / sites, providing strategic direction for the payroll function, and leading a team to ensure for business continuity during a time of transition. The job function encompasses various aspects of the payroll process, with a focus on improving team performance and streamlining business procedures. Only candidates in the EASTERN or CENTRAL time zones will be considered!
Responsibilities:
• Leading a team of payroll specialists for efficient operations
• Managing multi-state, multi-FEIN processing using ADP Workforce Now
• Actively participating in the strategic planning and execution of the payroll function
• Processing and managing both domestic and international payroll
• Handling payroll for multiple businesses, ensuring compliance and accuracy
• Engaging in people management to improve team performance and stability
• Overseeing the processing of payroll, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
• Addressing and resolving payroll-related inquiries and issues promptly
• Assisting in maintaining business continuity by implementing best practices in payroll management.
Requirements
• Proficiency in and hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now is a must • Proficiency in and hands-on experience using ADP Workforce Now is a must
• Extensive experience in handling Multi-state Payroll processing
• Experience in streamlining and optimizing of payroll business processes and finding efficiencies in general would be a plus
• Knowledge of International Payroll regulations and procedures would be a plus
• Experience in both in-house payroll and utilizing outsourced payroll providers, as well as experience with transitioning from one to the other would be a huge plus
• Demonstrated skills in Payroll Management, including overseeing payroll operations and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Excellent People Management skills, with a proven track record of leading and motivating a team
