Robert Half Payroll Supervisor/Manager/Director in Tampa, Florida
Description
We are seeking a skilled Payroll Manager to join our team. This position is based in Tampa, Florida, and offers an exciting opportunity for the right candidate. The role involves managing a high volume of complex payrolls and leading a team of Payroll Specialists.
Responsibilities:
• Handling high volume, complex payrolls for various countries
• Managing a team of 3 Payroll Specialists
• Assisting with acquisitions and setting up new businesses
• Taking on additional projects through the department, with the opportunity for exposure in other areas
• Dealing with ambiguity and adapting to changes, while maintaining a polished and professional demeanor
• Implementing standard operating procedures
• Managing payroll in all 50 states, across various frequencies and pay cycles
• Proficiently using ADP WorkForceNow and other accounting software systems such as Kronos Timekeeping System and Microsoft Office Suites
• Demonstrating problem-solving skills by identifying and resolving issues

Requirements
• Demonstrable experience in a Payroll Supervisor, Manager, or Director role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suites
• Understanding of Accounting Functions
• Experience in dealing with C-Suite level interactions
• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now
• Knowledge and understanding of Kronos
• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to manage and lead a team effectively
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
