Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Tampa, Florida
Description This role prepares and consolidates financial statements, analyzes and reconciles accounts, analyzes cash flow, creates budgets and forecasts, prepares audits, and manages internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting to attain company goals. Candidates will need excellent analytical skills and an ability to keep up in a fast-paced workspace. Excellent compensation is just part of the package. Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Work with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls and provide support on special requests
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary Requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Adeptness in auditing
Demonstrated knowledge of budget forecasting
Financial reconciliation experience
General ledger experience preferred
Journal entries experience
GAAP Accounting experience preferred
Month-end Close Activities experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus
Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus
ERP system experience
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Extraordinary analytical, quantitative and social skills
