Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in Tampa, Florida

Description

Robert Half is currently assisting a rapidly growing healthcare organization in a search for their next Vice President of Finance. the Vice President of Finance will report directly to the CEO and will guide the financial and accounting decision making for the organization and will be responsible for building a world class accounting team.

The Vice President of Finance manages the Department to ensure that it is providing effective and efficient service.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assuming a lead role in analyzing and exploring means of reducing costs including participation in performance improvement activities.

  • Participating as needed as a member of the Senior Management Team in the financial and functional decision making processes.

  • Providing direction, leadership, and educational needs to accounting/finance team.

  • Providing financial expertise in the planning of new services and the expansion of existing services promoting revenue growth.

  • Assuming responsibility for the completion of Financial Reporting documents on a weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual basis such as financial operating and volume trending reports.

  • Coordinating internal and external audits.

  • Coordinating the completion of the annual budget and tracks the progress on a periodic basis.

  • Maintaining accuracy of the balance sheet; completion of monthly Balance Sheet,

  • Overseeing the coordination and timely completion of month end close,

  • Overseeing the preparation of the annual Medicare cost report work papers.

  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required

  • Master's degree in related field preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in a regulated healthcare position

  • Strong budgeting/forecasting experience

  • CPA preferred

  • Demonstrated success in a high-growth organization.
