Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager - Public in Texas City, Texas. This role is in the public accounting industry and involves leading a dynamic team while overseeing all tax and accounting aspects. Your expertise in trust returns, partnership returns, and individual tax returns will be crucial in this role.
Key responsibilities:
• Lead the development of a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
• Oversee all aspects of tax compliance, planning, and research, ensuring accuracy and conformity with professional accounting standards and GAAP.
• Develop and implement strategic business plans aimed at achieving revenue growth objectives.
• Build and maintain robust client relationships, providing tax and accounting guidance and support.
• Act as a trusted advisor within the team and to clients, offering insights and advice on tax matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within the team.
• Oversee general ledger functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with best practices. Requirements
• Proficient in Trust Returns, Partnership Returns, and Individual Tax Return
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a must
• Knowledge of federal and state tax regulations
