Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in the Woodlands, Texas
Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Conroe, Texas. This role is pivotal in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the accounting department, which includes monitoring financial transactions, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial records. This role also plays a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and implementing financial strategies to support the company's objectives.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Supervise, train and mentor staff, assigning projects and direct staff to ensure effective performance.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP or other relevant accounting standards.
Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes.
Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
Assist in the preparation and coordination of the annual budget.
Conduct financial forecasting and risk analysis.
Monitor and report on variances from the established budget and report significant issues to management.
Ensure compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations.
Identify areas for process improvements and implement best practices.
Streamline accounting functions and operations.
Requirements
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is essential for managing financial transactions and generating reports.
Demonstrated experience in Financial Statement Preparation, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Excellent communication skills to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data manipulation and reporting.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is a prerequisite.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
