Description
A client of ours is offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Cash Application Specialist in The Woodlands, Texas. This role is pivotal within our team as you will be tasked with managing and processing customer applications and maintaining accurate records. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong understanding of accounting functions and software systems, and who are adept at managing customer inquiries and accounts. Responsibilities:
• Accurately apply payments to customer accounts and perform daily reconciliations to ensure all incoming cash has been recorded
• Handle daily processing and application of customer payments
• Carry out regular non-cash applications, write-offs and account reconciliations
• Manage all cash from receipt until accurately posted to the customer's account
• Maintain and balance Excel spreadsheets to reconcile all incoming cash on a daily basis
• Address payment issues or discrepancies and post related adjustments
• Conduct research on issues related to unidentified payments
• Review Accounts Receivable Aging Reports monthly
• Assist with special projects and other duties as needed
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to manage accounts and perform billing functions.
Requirements
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Knowledge of Automated Clearing House (ACH) operations
• Proficiency in managing Billing Functions
• Ability to handle Cash Activity effectively
• Experience in Cash Applications
• Proficiency in using JD Edwards software
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
• Commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
