Description

Robert Half is looking for a seasoned Controller for permanent employment in the North Houston area. The role requires accounting software proficiency and demands a self-starter with excellent time management skills. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of tenure in similar roles and a commitment to delivering accurate financial insights and maintaining the financial health of our company.

Responsibilities:

Cash Management:

• Oversee all aspects of cash flow including daily cash management, forecasting, and monitoring banking activities.

• Ensure efficient cash utilization and maintain optimal liquidity levels to meet operational needs.

• Implement strategies to maximize interest income and minimize bank fees.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Generate comprehensive financial reports for management review and decision-making.

• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Software Proficiency:

• Utilize CashPro software for efficient cash management, account reconciliation, and reporting.

• Optimize the use of CashPro tools to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting accuracy.

Strategic Planning:

• Collaborate with senior management to develop financial plans and budgets.

• Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business growth and profitability.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure timely completion of financial tasks and projects, maintaining high standards of accuracy and integrity.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred

• Minimum 10 years of experience, preferably in the property management or real estate industry

• Proficiency in CashPro software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels

• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Proven track record of tenure and reliability in previous roles
