Description
Located in North Houston near The Woodlands, my client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join my client's accounting team on a permanent basis.
The Controller is looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in accounting and experience using NETSUITE or similar ERP systems.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare comprehensive financial analyses and reports, including consolidated financial statements, to provide valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Assist with annual audit preparations, collaborating with external auditors and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance promptly and efficiently.
• Prepare revenue projections and forecast expenditures to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
• Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial resources.
• Perform other accounting duties as required and provide support to junior staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field. A master's degree in accounting would be highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sr. Accountant in a full cycle accounting role,
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and data analysis.
• Must have ERP Systems accounting software or other similar ERP systems and Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements - Knowledge of account reconciliation
Adeptness in University Degree
Financial statement preparation experience desired
Accruals experience
General ledger experience preferred
Proficiency in journal entries
Vow to meet business deadlines
Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Engages effectively in self-directed time management and prioritization of workload
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Experience with ERP systems
Detailed and have the ability work independently
