Robert Half GL Accountant in Thermal, California
Description We are in the search for a GL Accountant to join our team in Thermal, California. This role is pivotal in managing general ledger accounts, preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts with accuracy
• Prepare and post journal entries using QuickBooks Online
• Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Assist in the formulation of budgets and forecasts
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and other financial statements, ensuring discrepancies are investigated and resolved promptly
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal policies, and regulatory requirements
• Aid in preparing for audits and tax filings
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency in financial operations
• Assist with the integration of new financial systems or software
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making
• Aid in training staff on financial policies and procedures. Requirements • Must have proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services is required
• Should have experience in Cl Programming
• Proficiency in Concur is necessary
• Must have knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning
• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions is needed
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) is required
• Must be able to handle Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Should have auditing skills
• Must have experience with Balance Sheet Account
