Robert Half Inventory Clerk in Thornton, Illinois

Description We are in search of a methodical and detail-focused Inventory Clerk to join our manufacturing team in THORNTON, Illinois. This role involves maintaining accurate records of inventory, ensuring the accuracy of finished goods, and investigating any inventory issues that arise. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with other departments and work independently while adhering to deadlines.

Responsibilities:

• Consistently maintain and update inventory records, ensuring accuracy at all times.

• Work closely with the production department to guarantee proper documentation and reporting of production is accurate.

• Balance process orders of finished products and raw materials for each production run.

• Verify and correct all returns, reconciling each staging and line location.

• Proactively communicate with shift leads and supervisors for any process order discrepancies.

• Log and report all discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.

• Conduct thorough investigations of any inventory issues that are discovered during operations.

• Monitor all staging locations utilized during daily operations.

• Perform clerical duties including reporting all daily activities and notes in a shift summary.

• Utilize MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations and other relevant software for inventory management.

Skills:

• Proficient in using MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

• Strong knowledge and experience with Cycle Count and Daily Production.

• Familiarity with Annual Inventory and other relevant inventory management practices.

• Exceptional organizational skills and ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with other departments.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Requirements • Proficiency in using MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations

• Experience in cycle count procedures within a manufacturing environment

• Ability to conduct daily production checks and maintain records accurately

• Familiarity with annual inventory processes and protocols

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to adapt to changing work environments and priorities

• Willingness to follow all safety procedures and protocols in the workplace

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Previous experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry is preferred.
