Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Timonium, Maryland

Description

Robert Half is looking for a very hands-on and self-motivated full charge bookkeeper who is ready to take the next step in their career. Our client is looking for a qualified full charge bookkeeper who has strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills in the Baltimore area. The ideal candidate is a good team player while being adept and accustomed to working independently to support multiple entities. Overview of Responsibilities:

· Prepare, adjust, and maintain journal entries and various ledgers including: cash disbursements, cash receipts, debits/credits, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and month-end payroll summary.

· Prepare month-end close and generate monthly financial statements or reports including: accounts payable/accounts receivable reconciliations, cash flow report, P& L, balance sheet, and budgets.

· Prepare and present monthly financial reports.

· Maintain company banking information (checking, savings, and credit accounts).

· Ensure all financial data is entered accurately and all discrepancies are reported and reconciled.

· Manage all accounting and financial controls, procedures, records, and data.

· Record and reconciling payroll.

Requirements

· 5+ years of accounting/financial experience including knowledge of debits/credits, GL, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting etc.

· Small company accounting experience in roles such as Full-Charge Bookkeeper.

· Experience handling the accounting for multiple entities is a plus.

· Hands on with the ability to effectively manage processes and people.

· Strong technical skills with proficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Suite required; QuickBooks experience is highly desired.

· Analytical and numbers driven with the ability to analyze data, cost save, and effectively problem-solve.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a strong sense of professionalism.

· Resourceful with a strong attention to detail, level of accuracy, and organizational skills.

· Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Not easily overwhelmed with the ability to operate with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.

· Self-motivated with a team player mentality and positive attitude.
