Description
We are offering a fantastic opportunity in the construction industry. Located in Monmouth County, New Jersey, the role involves key accounting functions as a Payroll Accountant. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic workplace that values efficiency and accuracy in managing credit-related tasks.
Responsibilities:
• Accurate processing of weekly payroll, considering the repetitive nature of the task
• Expert understanding and execution of wage tax reporting, including 941, Federal, State, and Local taxes
• Experience with Union-related tasks such as remittance reporting
• Proficient in 401k reporting from withholding to reporting to the 401k administrator
• Manage both union and non-union payroll tasks
• Handle multistate payroll procedures and payroll taxes
• Demonstrate excellent analytical skills and proficiency with numbers
• Exhibit flexibility and detail-oriented approach in all tasks
• Show a strong work ethic, unafraid of hard work in a business environment
Requirements
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Payroll Accountant
• Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems.
• Able to perform various Accounting Functions efficiently.
• Familiarity with Payroll softwares is required.
• Proven experience in handling and calculating Payroll Taxes.
• Experience in managing Multistate Payroll is a necessity.
• Knowledge and experience in handling Payroll for Union and Non-Union employees are required.
