Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Toledo, Ohio
Description We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk based in Toledo, Ohio, who will be tasked with various responsibilities in the accounting field. This role is a long-term contract position within the wholesale distribution industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate records, and resolving discrepancies, among other duties.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the processing of vendor invoices efficiently and accurately.
• Establish, communicate, and adhere to payment dates to ensure timely and accurate payments.
• Carry out the reconciliation of vendor credit card statements.
• Be responsible for processing expenses, including mileage payments.
• Maintain accounts payable files, updating and organizing contact details, terms, addresses, and other pertinent information.
• Address and resolve vendor complaints and inquiries regarding payments.
• Reconcile invoices to Purchase Orders as needed.
• Run quarterly reports on unbilled stock receipts and outstanding accounts payable invoices/credits, directing follow-up actions as necessary.
• Assist in relieving the receptionist as scheduled.
• Manage the processing of customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices
• Strong skills in Data Entry and Invoice Processing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Oracle
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and SAP
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
• Professionalism and ethical behavior in handling financial data
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
