Robert Half Staff Accountant in Tomball, Texas
Description
We are partnering with a growing company to fill a Staff Accountant role in North Houston. The selected individual will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and income statement analysis. This role also involves engaging with business partners to ensure accurate and timely accounting of all transactions, as well as identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently prepare journal entries and conduct account reconciliations as part of month-end closing assignments
Collaborate with business partners to ensure comprehensive, accurate, and timely accounting of all transactions
Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting process
Identify, communicate, and assist in implementing opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains
Maintain compliance with internal controls over financial reporting related to all areas of responsibility
Provide assistance in the preparation of semi-annual and year-end audit requests, addressing questions as needed
Follow company policies and procedures diligently
Undertake other tasks and projects as assigned by the manager and the leadership of the company.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
2+ years of General Ledger management experience
Experienced in preparing and managing Journal Entries
Proficiency in using NetSuite for accounting purposes
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
