Your responsibilities
Produce reports after compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
Managing payroll information by keeping proper records for collecting, calculating, and entering data
Updating payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
Deliver assistance to payroll with internal and external audits
Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, certify company compliance
Reconciling of employee deductions and other liabilities
Retrieve and assess information in order to resolve payroll discrepancies
Maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential
Report needed changes after maintaining payroll operations according to established policies and procedures
Exercise review and verification of source documents
Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Answer questions and requests related to payroll information
Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments
Put together for department heads the circulation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports Requirements - Previous experience handling high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
Mastery of federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
Multi-state payroll experience highly desired
ADP Workforce Now experience
Microsoft Excel experience
Comprehension of Weekly Payroll
Adeptness in Multistate Payroll
Solid understanding of Automated Payroll
Command of Certified Payroll
Practical knowledge of multi-state payroll
Union payroll experience highly valued
Background working with Payroll Tax Reporting
Previous experience working with Reconcile Payroll
General familiarity with payroll systems for 100-500 employees
Earlier work involving Process Bi-weekly Payroll
Good understanding of Process Payroll
Demonstrated knowledge of payroll
Union payroll experience highly preferred
Outstanding data entry skills
Command of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
Relevant experience should include 2+ years in payroll
Meet and uphold Certified Payroll Professional criteria
Knowledge of internal controls
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis
Prior experience using accounting software
Experienced in basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
