Responsibilities:
Development: Design, develop, and implement software solutions using AS400/IBM iSeries platforms and tools like IBS RPG and Genexus.
Collaboration: Work with teams to define, design, and ship new features and applications.
Analysis: Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Maintenance: Maintain and enhance existing applications for scalability, functionality, and optimization.
Support: Provide technical support for applications, including problem identification, system architecture, hardware/software specifications, implementation, testing, training, and deployment.
Quality: Perform code reviews and maintain documentation to ensure code quality and application manageability.
Project Management: Manage project timelines and deliverables within a structured development environment.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with new technologies and best practices in software development, particularly within the AS400 RPG and Genexus communities.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on AS400 IBS RPG and Genexus.
Technical Skills: Proficient in RPG IV, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, and SQL on AS400. Experience with Genexus development tool is highly desirable.
Database: Strong understanding of database management and design, especially with DB2.
Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, strong organization and project management, excellent communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
