Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Torrance, California
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in our Consumer Products industry located in Torrance, California, United States. This role will involve the processing of customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries in a five-person department.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process customer credit applications
• Maintain and update accurate customer credit records
• Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts receivable
• Monitor customer accounts for irregularities
• Take appropriate action on discrepancies found in customer accounts
• Leverage knowledge of software tools such as Great Plains and Excel for daily tasks
• Contribute to the overall functioning of the five-person team in the department
• Participate in potential accounting quizzes to ensure skills and knowledge are up to date
• Be open to working in-office for four days a week
• Maintain a flexible schedule between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's or Honours Degree in relevant field
• Alternatively, a Diploma or College Diploma in related discipline may be accepted
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with commercial collections
• Knowledge and experience in cash applications
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
• Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions
• Legal right to work in the country of employment without sponsorship
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
• Willingness to undertake continuous development and training
• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work.
