Description We are seeking a methodical Bookkeeper to join our team in Torrance, California. As a Bookkeeper, you will be entrusted with a variety of responsibilities ranging from handling customer calls to managing accounts, scheduling meetings, and maintaining financial records. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities
• Managing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable
• Accurate data entry and maintenance of financial records
• Utilizing QuickBooks for bookkeeping tasks and month-end close activities
• Ensuring efficient scheduling of appointments
• Responsibly handling phone calls and providing customer assistance
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Google docs for work processes
• Facilitating and organizing team lunches twice a week
• Operating DocuSign for official documentation
• Conducting bank reconciliations regularly
• Overseeing payroll activities and ensuring timely disbursements. Requirements • Proven experience in Account Reconciliation, ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
• Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely processing of all invoices and fostering positive vendor relationships.
• Expertise in managing Accounts Receivable (AR), tracking all incoming payments and ensuring prompt collection.
• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations, identifying and addressing any discrepancies in financial records.
• Solid understanding of Bookkeeping principles and practices, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Proficient in Data Entry, ensuring quick and accurate input of financial data into the system.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, using it to create spreadsheets, manage data, and perform financial analysis.
• Experience in conducting Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accounted for and reported in a timely manner.
• Knowledge in processing Payroll, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, using the software to manage all bookkeeping activities efficiently.
