Robert Half Commercial Finance Manager in Torrance, California
Description Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a FP& A Manager. The FP& A Manager must be able to multitask and work under multiple tight deadlines at once, as well as excellent analytical capabilities and strong verbal and writing skills. Support regulatory filings
Create operational budgets and forecasts during the annual budget development cycle
Analyze financials for the forecasting and corporate budgeting processes
Supervise and oversee the operations of the financial planning team
Test budget and fiscal assumptions in the creation of operating plans
Aid with financial deliverables for the executive team
Analyze financials to enable both day-to-day and strategic decisions
Work in cross-functional development teams to address strategic issues
Lead the development of short- and long-term financial forecasts and financial analysis
Assemble financial models and data mining tools for variance analysis
Manage staff by recruiting, selecting, training, evaluating, and retaining employees
Inform strategic and day-to-day decisions by analyzing financials
Complete financial valuation and analysis for mergers and acquisitions Requirements
Superb qualitative and quantitative skills
Strong communication skills and skilled at building relationships
Advanced knowledge of computer software, including writing macros in Excel, Access, financial Modeling and other accounting packages
Must have superb interpersonal and influencing skills
Candidate must be able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction
8+ years of experience in FP& A required
Exceptional business acumen
2+ years of FP& A supervisory/leadership experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required
MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are a plus
