Candidates who can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff, will be preferred for this position. In this role, it will be critical for you to lead with integrity and reliability and have the ability to manage self and others with urgency, practicality and accountability when providing client services. Your responsibilities

  • Manage the creation of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them on a monthly basis

  • Check deliverables of self and team to certify they meet client expectations

  • Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

  • Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required

  • Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective

  • Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

  • Analyze, apply and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management

  • Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

  • Act on items beyond formal job responsibilities

Requirements - Great attention to detail

  • Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Past work in technology, analytics and management experience highly valued

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Experience with Consolidated Financial Statements

  • Practical knowledge of Financial Oversight

  • Financial auditing experience

  • Well-founded grasp of Financial Analytics

  • General familiarity with Financial Forecast

  • Annual Audited Financial Statements experience

  • Proven knowledge of financial analysis

  • Analyze Financial Statements experience required

  • Proficiency in Audited Financial Statements

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • Exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment

  • Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

  • Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
