Description
We are seeking a Data Engineer for our team in the Automotive industry, located in Torrance, CA. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and includes hybrid work type, with the necessity of being on-site for three days per week. As a Data Engineer, you will be crucial to maintain our organization's data infrastructure, ensuring data availability and quality to support data analytics and business intelligence efforts and perform ETL functions.
Team is responsible for the companies Data Lakes, Vehicle data
The person will be dealing heavily with their Telematics data
Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
• At least six years of work experience in data management disciplines, including data integration, modeling, optimization and data quality, or other areas directly relevant to data engineering responsibilities and tasks
• Proven experience with ETL tools and technologies (e.g., Glue, EMR, Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).
• Hands-on experience with SQL and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
