Robert Half Financial Analyst in Torrance, California

Description We are offering a contract opportunity for a Financial Analyst in the Restaurants & Catering industry, based in Torrance, California. The role primarily involves providing financial insights and analysis to support the operations of our business, with a focus on cost analysis and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide training and advice to Operators to enhance their financial acumen and performance.

• Collaborate closely with the Finance team to provide actionable insights through reports and analysis.

• Analyze food, labor, and other costs to help Operations achieve their financial and operational targets.

• Troubleshoot and resolve common data accuracy issues with financial reporting and systems.

• Coordinate the preparation and presentation of regional financial plans and interpret trends and financial results of the regions.

• Create and publish KPI reports, working closely with Finance, HR, and IS.

• Develop financial reporting for varying levels of management, effectively communicating actionable and impactful insights.

• Use various business models to develop projections for long-term analysis based on market conditions.

• Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management and restaurant operations.

• Produce monthly reports, which include key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with CapEx

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Knowledge of ERP Solutions

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Proficiency in About Time software

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Budget Processes

• Ability to handle Expense Reporting

• Background in Finance

• Experience in the Restaurants & Catering industry

• Ability to work as a Financial Analyst

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

• Detail-oriented and able to perform in a high-pressure environment.
