Robert Half Help Desk Manager in Torrance, California

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Help Desk Manager in the manufacturing industry, based in Torrance, California. The chosen candidate will be tasked with managing and troubleshooting IT cloud services, providing technical assistance, and handling the IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the management, configuration, and troubleshooting of IT cloud services.

• Providing comprehensive IT support and technical assistance to the team.

• Handling the IT aspects of employee onboarding and offboarding procedures.

• Creating and maintaining IT documentation and inventory.

• Serving as the primary IT contact across the company.

• Recommending and implementing improvements and enhancements for the organization’s IT systems.

• Delivering IT support to both office-based and remote employees.

• Managing the IT processes involved in employee onboarding and offboarding.

• Conducting research for new software/tools to support purchasing efforts.

• Developing and maintaining vendor relations and license management.

• Providing training and orientation on new and modified systems.

• Analyzing and recommending optimizations for software-based processes. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Help Desk Manager role or similar position within the manufacturing industry

• Proficient in Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, Dell Technologies, and EO/IR systems

• Demonstrable knowledge of Active Directory and Configuration Management

• Proficiency in handling Computer Hardware and managing Deployments

• Strong understanding and experience with Deskside Support

• Experience in Database management is a key requirement

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically

• Proven track record of managing and improving help desk operations

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
