Robert Half Operations Manager in Torrance, California

Description

We are in the search for a skilled Director of Warehouse Operations to join our team based in Torrance, California. The primary function of this role involves overseeing warehouse operations within the retail industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing shipping, receiving orders, and ensuring smooth operations in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and productivity

• Manage and process shipping and receiving orders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Utilize Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems for order fulfillment and data exchange

• Ensure adherence to compliance standards in all operations

• Manage and optimize networking and database systems for operational efficiency

• Handle banking operations and accounting functions related to warehouse operations

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving customer inquiries promptly

• Leverage Microsoft Excel skills for data management and reporting

• Collaborate with big box retail partners such as Walmart, Target, Walgreens for smooth operations

• Monitor and manage credit accounts, taking necessary actions for delinquent payments.

Requirements • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as an AVP of Operations or in a related field.

• Proficiency in Database and Networking systems.

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

• Demonstrated ability to optimize processes and strategies for maximum efficiency.

• Familiarity with Accounting Functions and Banking Operations.

• Strong understanding of Compliance and Credit protocols.

• Excellent Customer Service skills.

• Experience with EDI - Electronic Data Interchange systems.

• Knowledge of Order Fulfillment processes.

• Prior experience in Big Box Retail is a plus.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field is preferred.
