Robert Half Software Developer 3 Loan & Lease Servicing in Torrance, California
Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Software Developer in the automotive industry. Based in Torrance, California, this role will be performed remotely. The chosen candidate will be responsible for providing support for CASS AF mainframe application, which includes production and project support.
Responsibilities:
• Provide production and project support for the CASS AF mainframe application
• Utilize skills in COBOL zOS DB2 JCL and CICS for application support
• Leverage experience in consumer lending applications, if applicable
• Collaborate with third-party suppliers to ensure smooth operations
• Offer support for workstation-related issues
• Handle any overtime work as necessary
• Use R Code for relevant tasks
• Manage loan administration tasks related to the application
• Prioritize tasks to ensure optimal productivity
• Utilize FIS ALS experience, if applicable, for better application support. Requirements • Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in software development, including understanding of the entire software development lifecycle.
• Knowledge of COBOL and DB2 is required.
• Familiarity with JCL, CICS and z/OS is advantageous.
• Ability to provide workstation support and mainframe application support.
• Experience in production environments is desirable.
• Willingness to travel to meet suppliers or for other business needs.
• Understanding of loan administration and consumer lending is beneficial.
• Proficiency in R Code is a plus.
