Description
Our reputable client is seeking a Director of Finance to join the company. As part of the management team, the director of finance must have strong leadership, management, technology, analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. If you are an experienced VP/Director of Finance looking for a challenging role at an established company, this may be the role for you.
Major responsibilities
Manage the composition of financial outlooks and financial forecasts
Decide on benchmarks for comparing the operating and financial performance
Perform financial analysis for contract negotiations and product investment decisions
Review and maintain budgeting and forecasting models
Supervise all operations of the finance and accounting department
Implement and maintain an organizational structure to effectively accomplish the departments goals and objectives
Manage the operating procedures of the department, including short- and long-range goals, objectives, and policies- Oversee all hiring aspects of finance staff, including training and retention
Direct, review, and prepare financial planning and budget management functions
Analyze monthly operating performance against budget
Supervise all financial reporting preparation
Create and manage five-year business plans along with department managers
Take ownership of insurance and risk management
Comply with all budgetary reporting requirements, including local, state, and federal

Requirements - 10+ years of finance and accounting experience
Expert Microsoft Excel skills required
MBA or CPA is preferred
Extremely detailed and analytical
Experience with multiple financial and accounting reporting systems
Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, accounting, and finance principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
