Our client is a growing, privately owned manufacturing company that does business globally! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations. The Controller will be responsible for managing the accounting functions, developing financial strategies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting, and financial management to support the company's growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.

  • Develop and manage annual and quarterly budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

  • Analyze manufacturing costs and work with the operations team to develop cost reduction strategies.

  • Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and forecast.

  • Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the manufacturing plants

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data and reporting.

  • Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the company's assets.

  • Conduct audits and evaluations to improve efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term business strategies.

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.

  • Identify and manage financial risks and opportunities.

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Oversee training and development programs for finance staff.

    Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.

  • Proven experience in cost accounting, financial reporting, and budget management.

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.

  • Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
