Robert Half Accounting Assistant in TOWSON, Maryland
Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join a tenured accounting team in Towson, MD.
OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enter, process, and maintain monthly invoices and vouchers in the accounting system.
Manage vendor relationships including submitting weekly office supply purchases and matching purchase orders with vendor invoices.
Assist with daily cash reports, bank deposits, reconciliations, and payment processing.
Provide client billing/e-billing support including invoice generation and compliance.
Process new client and/or client intake forms as assigned.
Address and resolve any client or vendor related inquiries or discrepancies in a timely manner.
Maintain Excel spreadsheets and the accounting system accordingly including updated vendor files, account information, W-9 records, 1099 reporting, and other various documents or reports.
Assist with other general accounting functions as needed.
2+ years of general accounting experience (accounts payable, light accounts receivable, and billing/e-billing).
Experience working for a law firm or professional services firm is required.
Strong technical skills including proficiency in MS Excel and general accounting software experience; Elite software knowledge is a plus; ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently.
Strong attention to detail, level of accuracy, and organizational skills.
Must be dependable and able to successfully operate independently with a high level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
Analytical and numbers oriented with the ability to analyze data and effectively problem-solve.
Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
Must be vaccinated or willing to get vaccinated upon hire.
Must be able to work on site in the office 100% of the time.
