Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a diligent Systems Administrator in Towson, Maryland, United States. This role is within the telecom provider industry and will require the successful candidate to integrate and streamline system processes, provide end-user support, and manage user permissions.

Responsibilities:

• Streamline processes and improve data accessibility by integrating JIRA and Confluence systems.

• Utilize automation tools such as Cisco Technologies and Linux Technologies to enhance system functionalities and user experience.

• Provide end-user support, training, and documentation for both JIRA and Confluence.

• Manage user permissions and ensure systems are user-friendly and aligned with business processes.

• Monitor system performance regularly and perform upgrades and enhancements to support business growth and changing organizational needs.

• Ensure both platforms comply with industry standards and company policies regarding data security and integrity.

• Facilitate project management and reporting by ensuring both systems provide accurate and timely project metrics and dashboards.

• Act as the primary contact for software updates, patches, and troubleshooting, specifically for Atlassian and SharePoint.

• Utilize skills in Active Directory, Backup Technologies, and Configuration Management for system deployments.

• Employ knowledge of Atlassian Jira, and Confluence to optimize operations. Requirements • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar IT role

• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems

• Strong knowledge of Linux Technologies

• Expertise in Active Directory

• Experience with Backup Technologies

• Understanding of Configuration Management

• Experience in Deployments

• Proficiency in Atlassian tools, specifically Atlassian Jira and Confluence

• Excellent problem-solving skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
