Robert Half International Sr. Financial Analyst in TOWSON, Maryland

Description An innovative company is offering a terrific career-building opportunity for a short-term contract / temporary Senior Financial Analyst with experience and professional know-how. Handling project spending, planning, forecasting, and annual budgeting, the Senior Financial Analyst consultant is the primary contact for all financial questions. You will also implement analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments supporting public reporting requirements and also offer decision-making support for future company investments. This Senior Financial Analyst position is located in Towson, Maryland.

Your responsibilities in this role

  • Develop business, operational, and financial processes to be repeatable and understandable for all necessary teams

  • Work closely with Functional leads - provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives

  • Provide assistance in ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests

  • Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership

  • Track financial results with greater accuracy and discretion by working with Operating and Accounting to drive improved management reporting

  • Evaluate financial results, summarize key trends, assess current and future business risks, and communicate critical updates all in the course of preparing monthly and quarterly reporting to senior leadership

  • Capable of communicating updates to senior management, analyzing financial results, and distilling/synthesizing key issues in the course of advancing existing management reporting

  • Optimize business performance by identifying and executing financial analysis Requirements - Applicants are required to hold a Finance, Business, or related field BA/BS degree

  • Able to think critically and operate effectively with management

  • Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally, think practically and be solution-oriented

  • Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively

  • Skilled at process reengineering and optimization

  • Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

  • A thorough understanding of office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended

  • Adeptness in Data Analysis

  • SAP FICO experience

  • Analytical Skills experience highly desired

  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft Excel

  • Analytical Reasoning experience

  • Excel Formulas experience preferred
