We are in search of a Cost Accountant to join our clients team located in Tracy, California. This role is integral to our industry, focusing on the financial aspects of our manufacturing operations. The Cost Accountant will be responsible for month-end closure processes, statistical and analytical report compilation, internal control audits, and assisting with other finance-related areas as required.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting month-end closure processes for multiple manufacturing plants

• Compiling and analyzing statistical reports for management

• Assisting with accounts payable processing for the Tracy plant location

• Carrying out periodic internal control audits, which may necessitate travel

• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient operations

• Implementing and maintaining the budget processes

• Ensuring adherence to accounting functions and standards

• Conducting regular audits to ensure financial accuracy

• Managing and monitoring cash activity

• Utilizing ADP - Financial Services, Crystal Reports, and Epicor for financial operations

• Implementing SAP for streamlined accounting operations

• Overseeing cost accounting activities to ensure financial accuracy.

Requirements • Must hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

• Minimum of three years of experience in cost accounting or similar roles.

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems.

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is preferred.

• Skills in using Crystal Reports and Epicor are desirable.

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is a requirement.

• Must be able to perform various accounting functions.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is crucial.

• Previous auditing experience is a plus.

• Familiarity with budget processes is needed.

• Ability to handle cash activity efficiently.

• Experience with SAP is beneficial.

• Must have a solid understanding of cost accounting principles.
