Description
Growing, privately owned firm seeks an Junior Staff Accountant with public accounting expertise. This role will consist of performing account reconciliations, assisting with month end close, generating daily reports, preparing adjustments, and assisting with day-to-day accounting activities. The Junior Staff Accountant must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
Primary Duties
· Prepare and analyze financial reports
· Review and verify accounting transactions
· Organize and update financial records
· Prepare profit and loss statements/balance sheets
· Maintain general ledger
· Perform account reconciliation
· Identify ways to reduce costs and increase revenue
· Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns
· Assist with administrative duties as needed
Requirements
The ideal Junior Staff Accountant will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.
Other requirements for the Junior Staff Accountant role include and are not limited to:
· 1+ years of accounting experience
· Public Accounting and CPA track a plus
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· QuickBooks preferred
