Robert Half Staff Accountant in Trenton, New Jersey
Robert Half is seeking a degreed Staff Accountant with two or more years of experience for a client in the non-profit sector in the Greater Princeton region. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. In addition, the Staff Accountant will take part in compliance, communicate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes.
Maintain the General Ledger and Accounts Payable
Carry out month end closings, journal entries, and account reconciliations
Manage annual closing processes
Oversee the creation of monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses
Ensure compliance with GAACP
BA, BS, or equivalent in Accounting
2+ years of experience
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Excellent attention to detail
Top notch analytical, quantitative and communication skills
Experience maintaining a General Ledger and managing month end closings, journal entries, account reconciliations, and Accounts Payable
