Description
Our trusted client is in search of an FP& A Analyst consultant for a long-term engagement in Troy, Michigan. This role is pivotal in our financial planning and analysis department, where you will be tasked with close analysis, forecasting, and diving into analytics. The industry we operate in is fast-paced and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving. This hybrid role is located in Troy MIchigan and will report directly to the Director of FP& A.
The day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and forecasting to assist in decision-making processes.
• Utilize Sage X3, Excel Formulas, and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze complex data sets.
• Engage in month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Undertake ad hoc analytical projects, using your critical thinking skills to uncover insights and propose solutions.
• Communicate effectively across various departments, discussing findings, and suggesting improvements.
• Prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating your ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
• Exhibit a curious mind, always seeking out opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
• Conduct due diligence and thorough research to support your findings and recommendations.
• Use your experience with Variance Analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
• Maintain a deliverable-driven approach, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard and within deadlines.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
• Possession of proficiency in Sage X3 is required
• Must be skilled in using Excel Formulas
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel is necessary
• Experience with Variance Analysis is expected
• Familiarity with Month-end Close Activities is crucial
• Ability to work with Analytical datasets is required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
